Travian Troop Training and Research

Pilotrav can periodically train selected troops, attempt Hospital healing, and start one Academy or Smithy research check per village. Training chooses a random configured amount constrained by live resources. Academy and Smithy priority selectors are checked every four hours. Smithy break-even is a calculator only, never an automatic upgrade rule.

Requirements

  • Relevant building, resources, and game prerequisites.
  • Selected unit for training.
  • Processed village and Academy or Smithy where research is enabled.

Limits

  • Does not train settlers, chiefs, senators, or Residence units.
  • Does not limit training by queue length.
  • Hospital healing is an attempt, not guaranteed.
  • Research starts at most one item per four-hour check.
  • Break-even is calculator-only.

What it does

Village settings handle Barracks, Stable, Workshop, Great Barracks, Great Stable, Hospital, Academy, and Smithy. Training runs last in a village pass. Hospital attempts to heal wounded rows. Academy and Smithy start at most one research per check. The Tools break-even calculation helps a player compare one unit’s upgrade cost but never controls the bot.

How it works

Training waits a random repeat interval and visits each selected existing building. It reads trainable count, skips below the selected minimum unless Train even when resources are low is enabled, chooses a random amount constrained by availability, trains, then checks the queue. Hold troop training if building needs resources skips after a construction shortfall. Hospital checks gid 46 on its timer and attempts all wounded rows or the chosen position. Academy gid 22 and Smithy gid 13 check every four hours, try priorities in order, or choose the first enabled row if all are off. UI selections store troop ids but the engine uses them as list positions, so verify actual research in Travian. Break-even supports one unit and levels 0–20, showing power, upgrade cost, cost per point, and a break-even troop count.

Pilotrav works in cycles, so an interval is a minimum rather than an exact alarm. A normal cycle waits 60 to 180 seconds after account work. Saved settings are loaded on the next cycle, but page loading, earlier work, game queues, resources, troops, merchants, and Travian rules can defer an action. A log records the observed game flow, not a permanent result. Review the relevant Travian page after important sends. No tool is risk-free and no configuration removes account risk.

Military settings share several practical timing rules. The bot normally checks an account’s settings at the beginning of a cycle. It then handles time-sensitive dodge and folder work before incoming attack detection, farm lists, hero work, and the per-village work that includes raid protection, research, training, and Hospital. Consequently, a later action can be delayed by an earlier eligible action or by a slow game page. A configured feature with no available troop, resource, merchant, building, button, or valid target is skipped and reconsidered later according to its own timing rules.

Use the Logs page to separate a configured intention from a completed game action. A message that says not due, unavailable, skipped, or waiting normally leaves configuration in place; it does not mean Pilotrav will reserve troops, resources, or merchants for that feature. Conversely, a confirmed send consumes the game resources that Travian accepted, which can affect later work in that same or the next cycle. Avoid conflicting plans, verify the first real action for a new setting, and keep enough time between a planned action and a game deadline. Telegram notices require a connected chat and the matching notification type. The bot acts through the account’s own browser session, but that does not override Travian’s server checks or its game rules.

Setup in 5 steps

1. Build the relevant building and unlock intended units.

2. Select troop and MIN/MAX amount per training building.

3. Set training resource behaviour.

4. Enable Hospital, Academy, or Smithy only where built.

5. Verify the first queue or research; use break-even separately.

Requirements

▸Relevant building, resources, and game prerequisites.
▸Selected unit for training.
▸Processed village and Academy or Smithy where research is enabled.

Limits and what it does not do

▸Does not train settlers, chiefs, senators, or Residence units.
▸Does not limit training by queue length.
▸Hospital healing is an attempt, not guaranteed.
▸Research starts at most one item per four-hour check.
▸Break-even is calculator-only.

Common problems

“Train troop: insufficient resources in (max=.. < min=..), skipping” means wait or lower amounts. “unit not found (may not be unlocked yet)” and “train button not found” need prerequisites. “clicked for xN but not showing in queue, needs checking” requires verification. Hospital may report “not found”, “no wounded troops”, or “heal button not found”. Research can report “insufficient resources”, “no upgrade button”, or “position P is not in the list”.

Frequently asked questions

When does travian troop training and research act?

It acts only while the account bot is running and reaches its check in the normal cycle. The chosen interval is a minimum, not a precise deadline. Other village work, page loading, resource availability, troop availability, and game-side requirements can make an eligible action later or skip it.

Does a successful log line guarantee the result?

No. A success line means Pilotrav reached the expected page flow or submitted the requested action. Troops, resources, merchants, queues, timing, and server rules can still change the resulting game state. Check Travian and Logs after important military actions rather than treating a configuration as a guarantee.

Does this remove Travian account risk?

No tool is risk-free. This documentation describes product behaviour, not a promise of safety, availability, or game results. Choose targets and intervals you accept responsibility for, review logs regularly, and stop or adjust automation when the game state needs your attention.
