Travian Oasis Raid Bot: Farming Oases With Your Hero (Safely)
How to automate hero oasis raids in Travian: finding oases, garrison limits, skipping dangerous animals, and a battle estimate that keeps your hero alive.
Oases are some of the best early-game loot in Travian — and the easiest place to lose your hero. A good oasis raid routine is about *which* oasis you hit and *when*, not just clicking "send" every few minutes. Here is how Pilot Trav's oasis raiding works and how to set it up so your hero comes back.
Step 1: Find the Oases Around You
Scrolling the map tile by tile is slow. The Nearby-Oasis Scanner takes a center coordinate and a radius and returns every oasis in that area with its current garrison — the actual animals and how many of each, shown with the in-game unit icons.
From the results you can add oases one by one, or use Add All to put the whole list into your Hero Oasis Raid List in a single step.
Step 2: Set Garrison Limits
Every target is checked live, right before each send — not from a scan that might be hours old. Two limits decide whether the bot goes:
If a target is out of range, the bot simply moves on to the next one on the list.
Step 3: Exclude the Animals You Don't Want to Fight
Not all animals are equal. Ten rats are a free meal; one elephant or a few crocodiles can end your hero's day. With Animals to avoid, you tick the animals you never want to fight — if any of them is in an oasis, that oasis is skipped, no matter how small the total garrison looks.
A common starting point: avoid elephants, crocodiles and tigers until your hero is clearly strong enough.
Step 4: Turn On the Battle Estimate
The battle estimate is the "don't get my hero killed" switch. When it's on, before every hero send the bot:
1. reads your hero's real fighting strength and current health from the game,
2. estimates the raid losses against that oasis's exact animals,
3. skips the oasis if the hero would lose, or if its health would fall below the minimum you set (30% by default).
The estimate is deliberately cautious: it ignores your hero's attack bonus and armor, and uses the stronger defense value when troops travel with the hero. That means it may skip a few oases that would actually have been fine — which is the right trade-off when the alternative is a dead hero and a revive bill. If the bot can't read the hero's stats for any reason, it doesn't send the hero at all.
Hero Mode vs. Farm Mode
The oasis list can run in two ways:
| Hero mode | Farm mode | |
|---|---|---|
| Who goes | Your hero (plus the troops you set per target) | Only the troops set per target — no hero |
| How often | One target per send, with a minimum interval between sends | Every enabled target each round |
| Interval | Minimum minutes between hero sends | Random wait between rounds (min–max) |
| Battle estimate | Yes | Not needed (no hero) |
There's also an option for hero mode: if the hero is dead, away, or not in that village, the target's own troops can still go without the hero instead of skipping the round.
A Sensible First Setup
1. Scan a radius of about 6 around your main village and add the lightly guarded oases.
2. Set max garrison to something your hero handles comfortably, and min garrison to 3–5.
3. Avoid elephants, crocodiles and tigers.
4. Turn on the battle estimate with a minimum health of 30–40%.
5. Check the logs after a day — every skipped oasis tells you *why* it was skipped.
